Proverbs: 16:5 Everyone that is proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord

The definition of abomination means a thing or action that is vile vicious or terrible! It comes from an old French word "abominacion" meaning horror, repugnance, disgust.            

 A proud look  

  A haughty spirit

Proverbs 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall

 

Will the humble man please stand up?  Can he? without pride?

 

 

In and of ourselves this is our fate...pride, self appraisal, haughtiness...emptiness...destruction.....

 

Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death

 

Let these proverbs prick your heart....

Now with the open wound,

your heart will ooze that abominable,

vile and disgusting filth out and there can

be room for Gods humility & you'll wear the

royal crown.....with dignity instead
