Well, I'm starting over again in a couple of areas and one of them is my blog.
How many things in your life do you have sitting on the shelf? I'm not talking 'bout a 'to do' list, or a 'bucket list' that has jotted down all your adventures. I definitely have those lists which I pull out once in a while and I've actually seen a couple of those fulfilled! Oh what joy!
I'm thinking more of the "hopes and dreams" that sit on that shelf. Some people have dreams since they were small enough to reason; dreams of becoming someone accomplished in life or doing something big in the world. Everyone's got a dream but only some people see it fulfilled, why is that?
Well...I have my dream of doing something that will affect others for the better and encourage them. It was a just a "secret silly thought"a long time ago, then one day someone whom I respect highly said "you should do something with that, you're pretty good". From that point a seed was planted and I allowed my heart to dream and hope. I mentioned my dream to a dear friend and she said "yes, do it! You can you know. And it watered the seed. Then I dared to talk to a trusted 'counselor'; my Pastor and tell him of my dream and ask him to pray because up to that point not too much had happened to cause the seed to sprout. He said "That's great! yes I'll pray and believe with you. For a moment I cultivated that seed and out of nowhere an opportunity arose and that seed broke ground! I was amazed, especially since I had no idea what I was doing. Of course the tares & weeds sprouted along with my dream. They've overwhelmed me and although the dream is there for a few to see, today it's not cared for. And if I don't hurry up and prune around it the tares are going to kill my dream.
I HAVE TO DO THE WORK. I HAVE TO INVEST THE TIME. I HAVE TO SACRIFICE MY LEISURE. I HAVE TO KEEP THAT DREAM ALIVE.
