Valentines Day Aftermath!

 

 

How was your Valentines Day? If you're a man, did you survive? or did any mines go off?  If you're a wife or girlfriend are you still stewing over the lack of "show"?

 

Valentines Day is viewed by me and several of my friends as a day to get past, a long day to endure.  Perhaps the "commerciality" of love has made me weary of Valentines Day.  Single girls will get depressed about not having a "love".  Married women will be frustrated about being neglected by their love.  Now it doesn't end there.  Children worry about the cards and candy they'll give and moms want to make sure everyone is covered on Valentines Day! Dads and husbands will worry about their pocket books!

What about the other days? Can love be given or displayed on those days? and when you think of love do you think get or give? Love is________.....you'd probably fill it with your own "love language"

I'll tell you about some Valentines Day mine field "whews" and some mine field "kabooms!"

*A courting couple: She says "oh don't worry bout Valentines Day, treat it like any other day"  He says "Sweet!" and does nothing...She's disappointed and hurt:  KABOOM!

*Lil Tommy:  Makes himself the sweetheart in his "love story" writing assignment and tells a great story of Gods Love and Redemption!  "whew"

*New Lil Wifey: Her first married Valentines Day- He did nothing special.  "Kaboom!"

Is Valentines day to celebrate love ....what kind of love? Married love? Mother/Father love? Sibling love? Grandparent love? friendship love?  Gods love?
Or is Valentines Day to "perform?" put on a good "show"?
