Riding on the Connecticut River
This is truly what our summer rest was like....truly restful! Now that I'm back into my regular schedule I can look at this pic and take a heavy sigh and vision the beautiful Connecticut River.I was a bit nervous when I started on this trip since it would be our first real vacation without our two oldest kids. I imagined that the boys would complain that they were bored or worse that I would complain of too much quietness, or too much rest! This trip was a time of more adjustments to our immediate family and a wonderful time of family bonding with our East Coast family and again a time of much needed rest for us. We left rested and ready to return to our chaotic lives! or at least we thought we were ready to take on our schooling and scheduling.
I'm so grateful for the wonderful heritage and the incredible blessings of enjoying these family moments. And, I'm also grateful for my country and my freedom...I know it wasn't free.
