HOSPITALITY

What is it? and Who does it? Who Benefits?
Its helping the poor and needy of which  every human falls in either category at some point in their lives perhaps even multiple times

Tonight I had an incredible opportunity to share my experiences in hospitality.  Was a pretty humbling experience to stand in front of a room full of women, some of whom could talk about the subject of hospitality much better than I.  However, in the years of living a Christian life Hospitality has been a life line to me and my hospitality has been a help to another.  Although it is a  practice God actually requires of me, I have found that to be hospitable is most profitable to me!  Opening my home to others has gained me good long lasting friends.  Extending my hand in friendship to the stranger that crosses my path has been enriching! and helping a loved one in need always locks me in tighter in relationship with them.
It is my experience that those most hospitable people are those that do not even realize they are "sharing & caring"
When I was a brand new adult and Christian I experienced the simplest forms of hospitality.  I entered into a world completely foreign to me.  Away from family I was lonely & not very trusting of different people, so when I needed friendship & direction & companionship I was so incredibly relieved to get it from the most unexpected sources. Having grown up in "religion" I never expected my Pastor/Minister to be the one who would personal introduce me to the "Christian walk"  See in my old mindsets about the church or religion the Minister was expected to give a sermon on Sunday and perhaps then he'd greet you.  I never saw my parents interact with him.  But that's what I though it should be like.  Then when I needed a ride to church, because now I wanted to go and learn and see and experience God, my Pastors wife came to get me! imagine that. In those simple acts of talking to me and offering rides I was able to not just learn what the "Christian walk" was supposed to be like, I experienced God through others acts of hospitality.
Thru the years I've had some wonderful hospitality extended to me of which I'm grateful.  I've made it my habit also to be hospitable however I can.
Practice hospitality at home with your family and branch out and be blessed!
