After the Resurrection

 

 

He has Risen!!

 

You must already know the story about the resurrection. 

The unnecessary dramatic "capture" of Jesus on the Mt. of Olives.  How the disciples were caught of guard and one of them must have thought this was gonna be the great rebellion of all times because he assaulted one of the men that came after Jesus in the middle of the night.  He tore off his ear with a swing of his sword!  Instead of a rebellion, Jesus healed the man! he restored his ear and allowed himself to be taken captive.

Then there was the ridiculous trial where he was condemned to die.  yet because of the religious traditions he had to be killed quickly so as to not violate the law.  Within a matter of hours he was captured, tried, condemned, ridiculed and finally crucified.  Those that killed him thought the story was over, yet only a chapter ended.  On the third day, he rose from the dead!....what a beautiful story,  such emotion! such climax.....I'm sure Mel Gibson did a fine job depicting the story...how you interpret it, whether it penetrates more than your emotions will determine the way your own future chapters will be lived and remembered.

Many people put the story away, til  next year without realizing that his resurrection was a new chapter. Are you one of those people?    Can that event of over 2000 years ago impact you today?

My career choice?

Can that empty tomb invade even the pleasures you give yourself to?!

choose to live....After the Resurrection....
